There’s a couple countries outside the US that are hotbeds for original musical styles.  Brazil’s one of them. Marcelo D2 brings a big beat and sweet rhymes.

It’s just cool seeing MTV Raps (ended in the US in ’95) in another country.  What you probably don’t realize is that MTV has stations in, like, 30 countries/regions.

This hit (tr. “A good place”) from the late Sabotage (killed 2003) achieves something in 3 words most songs die for: immortality.

Bilingual Brazilian rap supergroup Braza formed under Gringo Louca, the label of Disco D (Dave Shayman).  Like J Dilla, Disco D was a huge talent who died way before his time.
